ŠK Slovan Bratislava has made it to the group stage of UEFA Europa Conference League. The first TV broadcast was done with our participation. In international productions where the UEFA is the head of production, we have to arrive to the place of match a day before the game is played. We also have to be checked for several times to see if our work on graphics was done without a mistake. The production of this kind of broadcasts is hard for everyone. However, we did not only work for international production, we also work for Slovak studio, which took place right in the stadium. Despite the draw of the home team Slovan, we hope that our champion will be able to make it to the play-off round.
But it is not just about the Conference league. We participated in all TV broadcasts in the preliminary rounds of European leagues that Slovak teams have played. Altogether it was 11 productions in the months of July and August. Slovak teams – Ružomberok, Dunajská Streda and Trnava played in a Conference league qualification. Ružomberok has played its final game in a second qualifying round. Ružomberok lost against Riga (agg. 1:5). So, we attended in two home matches that Ružomberok has played. Dunajská Streda has lost to FCSB (agg. 0:2) in the third qualifying round. Trnava (as a winner of Slovak Cup) skipped the first qualifying round and has started the qualification in the second round. Trnava found its end in third qualifying round in the match against Rakow (agg. 0:3). ŠK Slovan was in the Champions league first qualifying round. However, Slovan was not able to qualify further than second qualifying round as Ferencváros (agg. 3:5) was more successful. Slovan continued in Europa League qualification. But Slovan has met Olympiacos (agg 2:3) and it meant the end for Slovan in Europa league. So Slovan continued to the Conference league play-off round. Zrinjski (agg. 3:2) could not stop Slovan and thanks to that Slovan is in the group stage.
So, we can say we were pretty busy during summer. Slovak teams have showed themselves in a good light as they were able to advance further in Europe qualifications than in the past. In the meantime, our highest football competition has started – Fortuna Liga where we have not missed a single TV broadcast.
